Nathan is one of my favorite people so it was an easy decision to hire him as our photographer for the day. I’ve been to other weddings where Nathan was the photographer and he is a very fun photographer to spend the day with and his energy is top notch. Leading up to our wedding I sent Nathan some examples of wedding photos I was going for and he nailed it and exceeded my expectations. I didn’t expect to love so many of our photos, but they turned out perfect!



I am based out of Clarenville, NL. I currently live in Clarenville but the majority of my work is based in St. John’s and across the province. I am available for work province-wide (and world-wide)!

How would you best describe your style?

My style is best described as candid, adventurous, and real! I love capturing those moments when you forget I’m even there, and are simply just enjoying your partners company.

How many hours do we need?

I offer 3 collections from 6-12 hours that generally work for *most weddings!
Having a small, simple day? 6 hours would work for you!
Having a traditional timeline? 10 hours will likely work here.
Want the party captured, or have a longer day planned? 12 hours should do it!

How many photos will you get?

I do not put a limit on the number of images I deliver, you will receive a healthy sized gallery including photos from your entire day! I sort through photos individually and select the best images, so typically the only photos left behind are those with closed eyes, hair in face, out of focus, duplicates, etc.

Do you use AI when editing?

I do use some AI programs in my workflow, but all photos are still individually handpicked and edited by me. When called for, I have and will use AI, but I am not one to generally alter a photo drastically.

What equipment do you use?

I use Sony Alpha camera bodies, Sony G Master lenses, and flashes. I also come prepared with additional batteries, memory cards, a tripod, light modifiers, and light stands to be used if needed! On a typical wedding day, I shoot with a Sony A7 IV with a Sony 35mm 1.4 GM, Sony 50mm 1.8, Sony 20mm 1.8 G, + Sony 85mm 1.8, along with flashes and Magmod flash diffusers!

Who will you shoot?

Nathan Eddy Photography is a culturally diverse and LGBTQ inclusive business! I love working with people from various walks of life! I would absolutely love to shoot any type of wedding — LGBTQ/Christian/Indian/Persian/Jewish/Non-Religious, etc.

Have you shot at our location before?

Chances are if you are getting married in the St. John’s area that I have been to your venue before! If I haven’t, not to worry — I am confident that I will do an excellent job capturing it! I always show up early to take a look around the venue, and I absolutely love a fresh new location!

Do we have to provide you with a meal at dinner?

Yes please! If you’d like me to shoot during the dinner/reception, I would prefer a sit down meal! I love sitting with guests, getting to know them, enjoying a hot meal, and shooting throughout. Don’t forget to add me to the seating chart, because if I’m poked away in the basement trying to eat, I’ll miss all of fun stuff like the speeches, toasts, and any games you may have planned! If you choose not to provide a meal, I will take a 1 hour break during the dinner portion of the evening to grab a meal elsewhere!
Also pro tip: Tell the wait staff to serve me after the head table so I'm ready to rock when the speeches start!

How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

My calendar fills up pretty quickly, so you should plan to book about 16-20 months in advance! If you are planning your wedding in a shorter timeframe, please send me an email and we can discuss availability!

How and when will we receive our photos?

You will receive your fully edited high-resolution gallery within 12-14 weeks via digital download. You will have your own private password-protected gallery that you can view and share with others!

We want to include our dog into our ceremony and photos, is that okay?

To be honest, I'd be more upset if you DIDN'T want to include dog!! I love when people include their fur babies and you best believe I'll show up with treats for them!!

Myself and/or my partner are uncomfortable being in photos. Can you help?

Absolutely! It’s my job to help! If you’re somebody who just hates being in photos, I try to shoot quickly, and chat in between! As we are moving around, I like to crack jokes, and get to know you, so it feels like we are “hanging out” rather than “doing business”! If you’re somebody who just doesn't feel comfortable in photos, it is my job to make you look and feel great! I have a very laid back approach, so there’s no pressure at all! Afterwards, a lot of my clients say how much fun they had, and how relaxed they felt during their shoot. If you’re booking your wedding photography with me, I highly recommend an engagement shoot to get those gitters out of the way! We will explore and have fun, and ensure that you’re ready for your big day!

You’re the photographer for us! How do we reserve our wedding date?

To reserve your wedding date, I require a signed contract and a 30% deposit of your total package price. Please get in touch here to discuss which package best suits your needs and to secure your wedding date!
