Meet the Photographer
Hi, I’m Nate—a photographer, adventurer, and storyteller living on the rugged island of Newfoundland, Canada. My photography journey began as a way to document the beautiful landscapes here on the island, but it’s grown into so much more: a passion for capturing the authentic, unpolished, and deeply meaningful moments that make life extraordinary.
I’m not your typical photographer. My approach is relaxed, real, and adventure-filled—perfect for couples who love to explore, families who thrive in the great outdoors, and dog parents who understand the joy of a muddy trail. For me, it’s not about posed smiles or perfect settings; it’s about telling your story in a way that feels raw and true to you.
Why I Do This
Life moves fast, and moments slip away quicker than we realize. I learned this the hard way when I lost my puppy, Nori. Her short but impactful life taught me the importance of cherishing every second, and it’s a lesson I carry into my work every day. Whether it’s the way your partner looks at you when you laugh, your kids running wild in the woods, or the love in your dog’s eyes—these are the moments worth remembering, and I’m here to capture them for you.
What You Can Expect
When you book me, it’s not just a photo session—it’s an experience. From the moment we connect, my goal is to make you feel comfortable and excited. We’ll explore, laugh, and create something that feels completely you. My style is natural and candid; I focus on capturing the fleeting glances, genuine smiles, and all the little moments in between that tell the bigger story.
Whether we’re chasing sunsets on a mountaintop or documenting your cozy life at home, I bring a calm, flexible energy to every session. And if your furry friends are part of the adventure? Even better. My two Aussies, Arlo and Winston, are proof that life is just better with dogs.
A Little More About Me
When I'm not photographing weddings, I'm likely obsessing over my 3 cats Andy, Autumn, and Maple, hiking with my adventure pups Arlo & Winston, travelling the world with my wife, visiting a local brewery, watching live sports, going to concerts, paddle boarding, ski-dooing, camping, eating plenty of good food, fostering kittens from the SPCA, or simply exploring our beautiful province!
My photography is inspired by nature, connection, and the wild beauty of this island I call home. I believe life should be about living in the moment, savouring the little things, and saying yes to adventure—and that’s exactly what I hope to reflect in my work.
