Hey, I'm Nate!


I was born and raised in a small town on the East Coast of Newfoundland. I began my photography journey as a landscape photographer, so my style gravitates towards showing off our breathtaking landscapes here on the island, and I love working with clients who share an appreciation for beautiful landscapes!


When I’m not shooting weddings, I’m exploring Newfoundland in my Tacoma, hanging with my dogs, or chasing the perfect landscape shot. I believe in making the most of life, and that’s exactly how I approach weddings — documenting the day as it unfolds, with all the love, chaos, and joy that makes it yours.

My Approach to Storytelling

 

Dramatic black and white wedding portrait overlooking a scenic coastal bay.

You want someone who gets it — who knows when to step back, when to lean in, and when to let things unfold. The real stuff: your kid squeezing your hand, your partner’s glance when no one’s watching, your dog stealing the show.


I’m more like a friend than a vendor. I’ll stay until the last song and happily suggest a post-wedding McDonald’s run. If you’re after stiff, overly posed photos and a super formal vibe, we’re probably not a match — and that’s okay.


My approach is simple: capture the moments you didn’t even realize were happening. The belly laughs, windblown hair, happy tears — framed against Newfoundland’s rugged coastlines, hidden waterfalls, and dramatic landscapes. No forced poses. Just authentic, emotion-filled memories.

 

Rooted in Newfoundland, shaped by fog, cliffs, and the small, honest moments that matter.


I’m drawn to the beauty of this island — the wild coastlines, the quiet woods, the way the light shifts with the weather. It’s where I find inspiration, and it shows up in everything I create.


I love working real moments into real places — letting the landscape become part of the story. Whether it’s a wedding in the wind, a rainy-day session by the ocean, or a slow morning at home, I’m here to capture what it actually felt like.
